^^ You're talking about Australians having a revolution correct? That kind of talk will get this site banned from Australia for sure!

Oh I guess it's good to have someone who knows better than you what's good for you! NOT!
ANY censorship is bad! |

I read a lot of that. Sounds like old news to me. They've been trying to block certain stuff for a long time but people are fighting it and apparently doing a pretty good job of it. They require ISP's to provide filtering software for their users, if they want to use it.. Some people think the ISP's should be filtering the content at their level, but there are technical difficulties with this as well as people fighting to not let it happen. So what's the problem? Is there some new big push by some group to get this broad ISP level filtering thing enacted? Or is it the same old battle that's been going on for 10 years?

Did some more research (between dealing with spammers
). Seems like there is a new push for a "mandatory internet filtering policy that will be presented to the Senate of the Parliament of Australia".It also seems like the EFA is doing a pretty good job of opposing this. Do you support them with money or otherwise? I realize this is all borderline political, but the intent of not allowing politics on this site was to stop the bashing of one side or the other (U.S. politics), and to now allow that drama and fighting that goes along with it to be allowed here or ruin the purpose of this site. Talk about a government's policy or proposed policy, fine, but don't bring up political parties or the action of a certain political party... That's what causes the drama.

Well, it is political!
I'm not in the least concerned about it. For 1 reason, the current Aus government does not control the Senate. It is controlled by the other "certain political party". I've never heard of the EFA (aside from in this thread). |

I think everyone knows what I'm trying to get at with this no political thing... Don't cause drama here with your political opinions. Do that somewhere else. It's that easy.
