81 XS650 Brat Build -- First Time Builder *Update VI Kit Installed*
Hi all,
I thought I would start a build thread, as I am sure I am going to need quite a bit of help from you all here, and I figured it would be easier to organise everything into one thread, and reference it from here.
Ill start with some pics:
Picking it up in my mates Datsun Truck. Just lifted it on the back. Nice and easy. lol
How it sat when I picked it up:
On the jack, ready for tear down:
Has Boyer Branson Ignition:
Already has a sweet marine grade fuse panel:
Finally got the custom battery/electrical box out of the way:
This is how it currently sits:
I am going to order a bunch of shit from Visual Impact/TCBros/LowBrow. For now, I am going with the VI brat seat kit, burly slammers, 3" fork lowering, 12" apes, LED headlight, tailight, indicators, tiny battery and kick only.
Once I have the cash, I will upgrade to a PMA as well.
Anyway, thats the plan, lets see how I can go. lol.
Like I said, this is my first build, happening in my condo underground garage. Hopefully I can get the thing up and running in the next 6 weeks or so.
Ryan
