You should not start multiple threads with the same question or topic. If you want to add to your original post, then just post a reply instead of starting a new thread. To answer your question about the cam chain guides.
There has been a member report he has installed multiple guides with the correct torque and not had a problem.
On the other side of the coin there has been several members report stripped out thread holes.
There was a short time when these were in short supply. Not available anywhere.
Unless a member had a spare or two to help keep folks going.
Now again they are available through most outlets including Yamaha.
Difference in the one from Yamaha as opposed to Mikes? Can't say personally.

The front one is available from Yamaha. 256-12231-01-00
The back one is NLA. You have to get it from Mike's XS or 650 Central. I don't think there is another choice.

Some of Mikesxs parts are good and some are bad. I have used Mikesxs front camchain guide for 6 years now, and no problems so far. I'd say it's a good part.
