Wanted - In search of a 1970-1973 XS650 Center Stand

If you got an extra 1970-1973 XS650 Center Stand please let me buy it from ya.
Does not have to be in great shape just needs to be in working condition.
having a hell of a time tracking one down :banghead:

and would appreciate any leads.

You may already have one by now, but you can use one from any '74-up XS model if you narrow the stand by cutting the center bar in half, then removing 3/8ths inch from the center bar, then welding the piece back together. This will enable to stand to slide into the narrower XS1 frame lugs. hope this is useful!

Hope this works for you. Because it is a 'low-stress' item, and since my son, who welds, was out of the state, I just inserted a slug inside the tube halves, and assembled it using 'JB WELD', sanded it smooth and rattle-canned it black. Have a bitchen holiday!

Thanks... Yes it does not get a lot of load there. I should be able to work that one out pretty easily. plus I do have a wire welder and a grinder. I will get one though with the gusset on the leg where that foot extension is.
