Here's an esier way.
Just use the original donuts install backwards with a 1" washer inside and through bolt through the frame. You can leave the old cups on as they do not interfere and you can always revert to the special tank.
The rear rubber mount must be trimmed as the 750 Std tank is fairly flat so just cut the hump out of it and make it flat.

Mounted the tank no problem, thanks to the advice.
Did you guys use the stock 750 petcocks? I have tried to address the vacuum issue, I am having a problem with the petcocks not stopping the fuel to the carbs. I tried a tip on 650wiki, that has you flop taps from one side to the next. Did not work. Any and all advice welcome.

I bought a manual petcock from Mikes XS only used one. Made a blank out of piece of aluminum stock for the other side.

The bolt hole pattern is the same for either 650, 750, 850 maybe even 1100.
