I like the wassell but the cole foster tank is starting to grow on me. PhotoChopped a pic on my bike and think it suits the lines well. Like how the end point of the tank is pointed

I never liked it, until I saw the above bike with it..

It was made for a v -twin for sure though, with the tilt on the bottom of it. Lines up perfectly with the front cylinder.

How far along is the bike by the way?

It's getting there! Waiting on Kent's buddy to do some welding work for electronics and fenders into the swing arm. Also waiting on a bunch of parts to come in. Probably 2-3 weeks out before I get to ride

The blue bike is a Triumph built by Dan Patterson at Angry Monkey Motorcycles in Mississippi. He's builds some bad bikes and has been a big help to me on my build. His bikes inspired me to build my XS.

I see this thread is probably dead but did you ever figure out which Cole Foster tank fitted the xs650 frame best? I've been looking to build an xs for years now and I finally found the perfect bike to buy and start the build. I'm making a list currently of what I want on it and this Cole Foster tank if for sure the one I want.

I bought the one in the link. I decided to "mid-mount" it on my latest build. Here are some pics

This one is my favorite of your builds. Very nice look. Can't wait to see finished product. I am a big fan of the 4 under springer and Cole Foster tank. Did you ever find out which Cole Foster fits the XS best?

They're all built from the same manufacturer oversees. Just get the non-efi version. They're all the same dimensions, Tunnel height etc..

Is that a Ardcore frame? Also by what means are the handlebars affixed to the front end? Welded?

Correct Ardcore frame. Handlebars are welded into the top tree for a clean look. Custom one off springer.

When you say one off springer are you meaning you constructed it?
