When you get pulled over by the cops there are these cliche tests of walking a straight line or putting a foot on the bumper or saying the alphabet backwards. I think the trick there is if you even attempt to say the alphabet backwards it means you're drunk. Or maybe you'll say "I can't even do that sober..."

I have peripheral neuropathy (from chemo nerve burn) in my feet. Can't do the straight line test. Diabetic neuropathy is similar problem. There was some talk about giving us an 'excuse' to the field sobriety test.

Thinking about getting a medical ID bracelet notating such.

Already have one that says: "Help, I've just eaten and I can't get up!"

When I was a kid I had cop give me a sobriety test and he asked me to say the alphabet backwards. I said "I cant do that but I can spell your wife's name backwards"
...EOH...
My advice? Don't do that to a sober cop with a gun.
