Hi !

I'm new here, 38, from the Netherlands.
79 xs650, hardtail ( ordered the TC tail yesterday )

XS400 '77 drumbrake, laced into a Akront shouldered 21"rim.
Has it already been done ?
I do have the rim and the hub, but I've no idea if the spokes are "stock/available"

Hello Gerwin,
Originally the hub is laced in a 19" rim, so when you wanna lace it in a 21" rim, the spokes need to be 1 inch longer....
Just measure the original spokes and order 36 spokes by Simon Poelma in Uithuizen.:bike:

Already contacted JVD Wheels.
The problem might be in the rim.
The angle in which the holes are , that could be too much different from the original rims.
I hope you all understand my crappy English, LOL.

I have not done the 21 inch rim on the stock hub. Just so you know this is just relaying others knowledge.
From what I have read you can change the angle of the holes in the rim by drilling them with the same size bit as the holes and tipping the bit enough to change the angle the holes goes through the rim.
You might want to research it more but thats how I understand it being done.
