What are you guys running to go with your 2" lowered forks? I want something good quality. Doesn't have to be a piggyback or anything.

This is 11" shocks with 2" lowered up front on an '81 frame.
They're Harley shocks. You need to do some minor modifications to narrow the shock eyelets to make them fit. Alternatively, you can get new 11" shocks from Dime City.
The popular 10.5" Rebel shocks are a bolt on, but they look too saggy to me. I might even swap these for 11.5", depending on how it looks with the seat. MikesXS sells 11.5" shocks for a decent price.

Did u have to shorten your kick stand with the drop?
usually with any drop, yes. The bike is too straight and is prone to tipping over in the wind if you don't shorten the stand.
I will agree that Sportster shocks are good quality and will lower your bike, and it is possible to find them cheap. I think different year and model Sportster shocks are different lengths. I bought a pair of practically new Nightster shocks that were 11" eye to eye for $60 on Craigslist, and best of all, they have black springs and caps, not chrome. As mentioned, some simple modification of the eyes is required.

I have Harley 11" shocks on mine. Way too stiff. I'm 150lbs. It's like riding a hard tail. Check my most recent post for pics as a reference.

I used stock length shocks on my last bike with a 2.5" fork drop. No weird handling issues whatsoever. No shortening of the kickstand, and it never even got close to tipping, even when knocked around by the kids.

Anyone able to help out with this? I only weigh 150lbs myself and I don't want to shorten my spine with something too stiff so if I can get a good set of progressive springs that match my weight I'd be happy.

74, the shock mounts were not moved. Only the cut off the rear hoop, and added my own. This bike could be changed back to stock fairly easily. 35mm forks.

Cool beans. I thought that was a middle standard frame, based on the passenger peg mounts and shock angle. Thanks for the replies.

I used Progressive Suspension 12 Series 11.5's on a brat bobber project.... You need to buy Springs separately though but that would work in your favor, you can choose ones that arnt too stiff.
