I have 5v coming thru my brake wire giving me a dull glow all the time on my brake light.
I have gone thru the diagrams as i do have some electrical experience. From what i can work out the issue is in my regulator. Does this sound right? I dont have a spare to test it.
Has anyone else had this issue or point me in a direction to test.
Thanks

You could check that the taillight is wired correctly, and properly grounded. If the brake line and ground were swapped, then taillight current will appear at the brake line, like a center-tapped resistor.

A quick test would be to unplug the bulb, see if the 5v goes away...

Thanks TwoMany
Rear is LED. I have run a temp earth wire from battery earth to the light and was still getting the 5v.
I have disconected all brake switches still 5v.
The only time it goes away is when i disconnect the reg/rec.
I will have to keep nutting this crazy thing out.
Cheers

Getting old and eyes not the same. I thought the wire loom I was looking at was the Reg/Rec but it was the Light Checker. Removed and bypassed the wires from a forum post and all good.
Thanks.
