I know that they have received a lot of poor reviews in the past but my latest transaction was great. I placed an order with them last friday morning. I ordered a pamco, seal kit, sealing washers, and cam chain tensioner spring. I received a tracking email that afternoon and it said it was shipped. I also placed an order with Boat.net and Amazon at the same time. I was shocked when the packages from Mikes and Boat.net came today and arrived before Amazon. I hope that this is the new normal.

Ive also never had a problem with Mikes and I've ordered at least a dozen times internationally. We are lucky to have someone catering for these old machines to be honest.

Plus 1 . I've made a lot of orders thru t.he last 9 years, even through the changing of the gaurds, and never had a problem. T.heorder I fear the most had a top end 1.5 over kit, full gasket kit, spokes, brake shoes and various hardware kits. Everything was fine. But I haven't ordered rims, tires, heard too much bad to find out. Dennis kirk has the rubber covered

I've never had a problem with the delivery aspect, just the quality of some of their stuff. The trick, I guess, is knowing beforehand what items to buy and what items to avoid.

The recently-hired manager seems to be very responsible and good communicator.

They rely heavily on the Emgo catalogue; the chrome occasionally has had slight irregularities, and the rubber items sometimes are of a lower quality. Overall, I'm quite happy.

good pick up on the emgo catalogue ,now only have to find a distributer in aust as with the low oz $ and shipping (time as well) should be able to get a lot more locally, have emailed them for list of oz distributers ..pity they wont sell direct...thanks

I had a problem with a part I ordered. I thought I screwed up and ordered again. Same issue. I contacted them and Norton fixed the problem immediately.
:bike:

Glad you guys are happy, but by my lights, any outfit that sells PWK knockoffs, knowing what they are, has poor ethics. Add to this that the jetting they apply in their "prejetted" VM34 carburetors is a bit short of the right stuff and indicates that somebody either doesn't know what he's doing or has cut some corners. The list could go on, just suffice it to say that I won't buy from an outfit like that if I can help it.

unfortunitly griz , some of us don't have many options , just have to be careful about what you buy , your lucky in the states there are still nos stashed away , here in oz nos has been fairly well cleaned out yrs ago

Some of the Mike's bad has shifted to Z1 Enterprises. I wanted to return a SS brake line I bought for a shorter one. Never installed, never used. Got a long email from Norton re: their return policy and how they can't resell it and I'll have to pay for the return trip (of course) and a 15% restocking fee. Never had that kind of response from Jeff.

I hear you, Flea; if Mike's XS is the only choice, you're stuck with them. And for some items they are indeed the only choice. Main and some transmission bearings are prime examples. (And no, children, you can't use a generic bearing from a bearing house for an XS650 main bearing, it's a special part with one pin hole and two oil holes in the outer race).
