It's almost embarrassing to give the list of my bikes because my list stop at only two bikes ! :)

So, here they are:

1. My first bike when I was 13, a 1981 Yamaha IT125. I had it for three years. It's a pic that I found on the net, not one of my bike.

2. At 18, I got a 1972 Yamaha XS650 from my dad as a gift in 1997. After a good cleaning/polishing, I brought it to an old car show that we have here in August. There's not many old bikes on the road around here so it received a lot of attention.

When I got the XS, I worked a little bit on it to make the engine running. After that, it remained in the corner of my garage until this spring. The reason is that I bought a 1953 Chevy Belair as a hotrod project in 2003. This spring, I decided to sell my 53 (no more interest) because I wanted to restore my 650. After a good tune-up, I try to start the engine (this bike didn't hit the road since almost 20 years) and it runs fine, with just one kick ! I've got only one little oil leak from the clutch pushrod seal when the engine is hot, not too bad I guess. My plans are to restore the XS2 and to find another XS650 as a bobber project.

Looks pretty nice! Probably won't take much to restore.

This bike didn't ride since 20 years, so it needs some attention but it's in good shape for a 37 years old motorcycle. It didn't look like that when I began to clean it a couple of months ago !!

Well the two xs's I have posted and a 70's Honda St 90, oh why did I sell it and am looking for one to replace it.
The other was a yamaha xt250. I hated this bike bad on street and bad in the dirt.

79 Yamaha XS650 Special---still have her
78 Triumph T140v
78 Triumph T140v #2---still have her.
80 BMW R80/7---still have her.

That doesn't count things like a Puch moped, a second Lambretta, a couple of Kawasaki singles, and lots of BSA twins that never got past the "pile of parts" stage before being sold. I'm also on my second sidecar. For awhile I sort of specialized in T100 Triumph 500 twins, and had many, but only for a short while before they sold. I can see I have to learn how to post pictures....

Anyway, those are the main bikes. Oh, yeah, I had an N-15 Norton for awhile, too. Not as good as the P-11a....too heavy.

I love my bikes, past and present. I've had my one BSA B44 and my 77 "D" Yammie longer than either on my marriages......hmmmm. Is that a bad thing?

Here is a bike that I built from a Ward's 125cc Benelli. A special pipe and monoshock, a seat from a Yamaha 65cc, D.I.D. rims & stainless spokes, porting by a friend. A small orange cafe fairing was later added. I rode this bike for years. Along with this I also built a 1968 Yamaha enduro as a cafe racer with alloy rims porting and a special lower pipe and rd 400 front-end. It was very fast. I was clocked at 115mph by California CHP. My third cafe racer was a 1965 250 Ducati single. It had alloys, half fairng, and a sculptured Italian steel tank with a bananna closing lid. I cannot remember the brand of motorcycle. Last I also had acomplete rebuilt from ground up 250cc NSU Super Max. This bike could cruise the freeway all day at 70mph. Great Bike. Regretfully I no longer own these. TC
