Thought I'd kinda wrap this up. Instead of leaving you at the Kentucky border.
Special thanks for the weekend to:
Richard for taking his time to tour me around Cades Cove.
David for helping me to cut my costs.
Micheal for being a great group rider. He earned my trust that he would have my back. Trust like compliments aren't treated or given lightly by me.
Doug who's attention to machinery and dedication to the sport is something to be admired and duplicated.
Ken your amiability was appreciated.
Finally Dick. Your willingness to grow me both as a rider and a tech means more than you will know. Truly you are a one and only
"Grizld1".
And all the others who made this adventure what it was.
It was brought to my attention that the XS650 rallys are not scenery rides. While curve cutting and running 15 - 30 mph above posted speeds are with in my abilities (if we are racing I'll hang to you tighter than a tomato skin dinglebarry on a hairy ass so you
will have to work for it) it isn't MY idea of fun group riding so I doubt I will be attending another. My time, my money. I get to choose where and how it goes.
If you do not like pictures you need to exit this post now, cause ima fittin to post a buttload.
If you do like pictures, well I hope you enjoy the ride.
These photos are not copyrighted, I posted in a public forum to share.

I racked up 1742 miles. I was hoping for 2K but this
Lead to this (if I had chosen to camp out and fix the problem on the road so close to home, the little bride would have handed my ass to me on a platter)
Back to the ride, on Friday
The two bikes on the left are not XS's but both the riders (from my limited understanding) are long time members and supporters of the 650 Society.
And "Shorty" Price is the one who organizes this ride so I've tried to include them in recognition of being part of the "group"
Yep that is us at the "tail of the Dragon"
We ran into some rain coming over the Dragon so that is pretty much it for pictures on Friday.
The rest of the day was spent just hanging out.
Well I have things to do, count calves, repair the washed out drive, laundry, oh and unload a broke scooter.
Tonight I'll try to get up some photos from Saturday.
