Hello, I wanted to just re-bend the drag clip but now with the gear in my hand, I wonder if I don't have to order a repair kit....
What do you think?
Thanks.
Michel

Place a classified ad on this site? Maybe someone has done the kick only thing and removed it.
Look on e-bay? mrmonkeyclaw(?) parts some out.

Yes, I'd say that one has about had it, lol. Most show some wear but yours is excessive. Your pics also nicely illustrate the rubber damper ring, which looks pretty bad too. I feel this #4 gear is a major contributor to all the crap we find in our oil filters, both the metal chips and the rubber chunks. Many blame the front cam chain guide for the rubber bits but I think this is the real culprit.

In the UK the kit is £43 + postage from www.Yambits.co.uk
Kit includes the gear + spring + clip.
You should check for the latest advice on where the clip should be positioned relative to the engine casing i.e. in or out of the channel in the casing.

If you are overseas I would look there to get a better price. I have sold these used as much as $45.00
This is a USED PIECE if you are looking for new $70.00 is a good price.

Hello, thanks for the info. Do you have any about the quality of the product. Don't want to have to open again the engine after few months... Thanks, Michel.
