I am woefully deficient in this important aspect of man caveness, but this thread has motivated me to correct that. All I have at the moment are a couple of license plates off motorcycles I owned while stationed in Japan. One of those would be from my '74 TX650A. At a guess, the other would be from an RD350.

And before curiosity causes any unfortunate injuries among you cats, a shot of my Vise Grip storage facility. I got tired of pawing through the pile in the drawer (and had better uses for the drawer space) so I stole this idea from somewhere.

I like it !

OK, Stupid, here, was just sitting back with a couple shots of Dewars and a Founders All Day IPA, admiring my new installation of a Craftsman ToolChest, listening to some 90's hard rock, and I meandered over to the bike poster: right there on the fairing, in not-so-tiny letters is "Team Roberts". How embarrassing.
So, the trophy actually goes to TM, who was the first to make the identification.

Wainey rode for Team Roberts in the mid 80's. Up till' the early nineties if I remember correctly. So.... could still be him.

Well I'll be damned !
I was just about to say "kick me in the arse for trusting a Google image", but it seems the news article got it right !

Could also still be King Kenny...;)

I'm learning more tonight about Rainey than ever as I search the web.
Apparently, he also raced karts, post-acccident:

As far as I know (?) Roberts never wore a Shoei helmet.......Dude's poster is Rainey in '90 and probably was a Yamaha dealers' poster

Yup, that's where I got it. It took years of coaxing to get it off of Fred DeSantis, owner of Fred's Sport Motors in Syracuse.

I am at a deficit in this conversation. Haven't followed much bike racing, altho Max Biaggi's career

did draw me into quite a number of races.
Sports cars, Karting, Formula 1 and Indycar have been my thing.

Roberts also use an AGV helmet..........regardless, this thread is great and Dude has a great garage. Mine is a crowded mess of shelves and floor space
of take-off parts from past and present projects. No photos necessary and most know why.

The 'motorcycle' King...

My garage art.
Framed picture of my dad with the old Oliver 88 tractor he restored. Don’t let the overalls fool you, he was born a farmer but died a very accomplished man. ( Who passed on to his son, his love of all things mechanical). A Seargent in WW2 and my personal hero.

My dear departed father in law, who was a sailer in his youth, next to his now defunct power drill.

A Collage framed picture with photos of my uncle John, the worlds coolest old hippie, on assorted BSA’s , Norton’s, and I think even a Honda. Plus me on my old Triumph and photos of my old BMW.
A quick story about my uncle. He is a super accomplished welder, and self made wealthy.
But the coolest story is how he met the woman he’s been living with for the last forty years.
He was riding his Norton fastback cross country and he pulled into a road side rest stop. He met her there, she hopped on to the back of his bike and never got off.
