I've got this thing about rust.......especially after it ate through my GoldWing's frame in two different places. I didn't like looking at my frame and seeing the pavement roll by.

Working on an oil cooler mod with the cooler installed in front of the front engine mount and NPT fittings tapped into the clutch and oil filter cover. Plugged the stock oil passage with 3/8" aluminum snipped from a rod, it is press fitted from where I threaded a 1/4 NPT fitting.

Finished plumbing oil cooler to the xs650, went for a test ride and works fine no leaks, decided to not use the oil pressure gauge for cleaner looks but was about 12psi at start up.

Decided to change to look of my bike with an XS750 fuel Tank, referred to past posts about mounting the XS750 tank to XS650 frame dremeled and bent the rear tab to correct angle which mounted perfectly to stock tank post. Went with a SR400 after market seat from Omega Racers and remounted the stock rear fender. Changed out the stock headlight for smaller aftermarket headlight from Drag Specialties. Installed drilled brake rotors on the front and rear.

Here are some shots after everything said and done.

Picked up a reasonably priced Radian swingarm on ebay recently. I have Omar's front to rear wheel kit and do not want to change the bearings or bore out the swingarm so I purchased a 20mm OD x 17mm ID aluminum pipe and cut it to must snug fit between the swingarm, which will retain the use of the 17mm rear axle from the Radian and keep the 20mm bearings on my rear wheels. So far everything seems to slide together and spin nicely in the test fits.

Mocked up the Radian swing arm with the shocks and have to space the shocks out a bit and figure out the spacing with stock exhaust. Had to shave the rear passenger peg a bit to get it to clear the swing arm. Also may need to get a longer chain.

The shocks were 4 spacers spaced out from stock upper shock mount, Cut new chain to 108 link from 110. Exhaust was able to be mounted in stock location. The rear caliper had to be mounted under instead of the stock disc Special that was on top.

Limited production front wheel? Are you talking about the star looking wheel? Those are Yamaha wheels? Who knew?

I just assumed they were stock Suzuki wheels from a late 70's or early 80's GS model.
