So did a compression test today

I did this with a cheap auto zone compression tester so I don’t know how accurate it actually is this is after I tighten down the head it was way off per Cylinder before I did this .... its about 110 on bolth what yall think ps The big crown Nuts on the head were all basically just hand tight

well carb is mostly sorted out when down 2 jet sizes on the main from a 135 it is popping on decal so i have some cleaning to do i think but shes coming together now im waiting on a seat and other miscellaneous stuff to come in the mail .... ps my room mate dropped a ladder on my tank a week ago so now its dented to all hell ... o well its going to be taking a bunch of dirt naps in the future so lol

Looking good! Getting there. Thanks for mentioning the seat. I was going to make a "does not compute" comment lol.

Are the risers off another bike? They look high.

I actually have a rilly dumb question i cant actually figure out how the seat and the tank mount on that rubber bumper on the frame

Hi sean,
"there are no dumb questions"
The stock tank has rubber nubbins inside the tunnel at the front that slide into the tank mount ears on the frame and the back of the tank has a lug that bolts down onto the frame. Drop on, push-wiggle forward, push down & insert bolt.
The pre-'80 stock seat is hinged on the right-hand side and swings down to a latch on the left. Some or perhaps all of the seat's mounting hardware seems to be missing on your photo.
[edit] Looking at earlier photos in this string, seems the dreaded PO didn't stop at removing the seat mount hardware, he also removed the hardware mountings. Lucky you still have the gas tank mounts, eh? BTW if your "friendly fire" damaged tank is a "Standard" (filler cap in center)
the smaller "Special" tank (filler cap offset) drops straight on and is perhaps more suitable for a scrambler. [end edit]

How did ya mount the front of the seat by the tank ?

You don't have to.
It has an "L" shaped piece of steel that comes down in the front. You just slide it under the cross brace that the tank bolts to.

You only need to fabricate a mount for the rear. I just used a piece of 1.5 or 2" wide steel from home depot that I cut to size, drilled 2 holes in and had a local shop weld up. See post # 6 in my build thread if you want to see a pic.
