Exceptional example of a NOT restored 1979 XS650 Classic. Pro paint on tank and side covers in factory match color, new tires, chain, sprockets, battery etc. etc. etc. Extensive maintenance by an XS650 "guru". Otherwise bike has very good to excellent all original FACTORY parts, no reproduction parts, no rechromed parts. Hard to find one this nice. Last year of the standard XS650 only specials were made after 79. Will entertain interesting bike trades running or not. (NO clapped out plastic crotch rockets) or cash is welcome. Bike will be ridden to Slimy Crud both ends on Sunday. Would get on this bike and head off ANYWHERE with no qualms. If it doesn't sell I just might... Love this bike but have other XS650s and would like to thin the herd a bit. Title in my name. Current licence and insurance. Ridden about 1500 miles in the last two years. Disclaimer it's not show room it's not museum quality think condition like a well maintained 5-6 year old bike. This is a perfect 25 to 200 mile ride the back roads bike. I get plenty of admiring attention and thumbs up riding this bike.

I also have an extensive collection of good factory parts for all years of XS650, seats, tanks, engines, carbs, wheels etc etc. I buy sell trade just about anything XS650.

Bump and I'd consider offers. Just put in a new battery, dusting it off and going for it's first ride of 2018 today. Odo now shows 11,400 miles. Delivery (ride it to you in the western hemisphere) considered.

You need to edit/change/remove option #3.
Any more you cannot build/rebuild one like that.
I tend to ask about various parts and pieces for the "F" model, as it also is a favorite of mine.
Seats are unobtainable. The paint would have to be matched. The side cover emblems come up on e-bay every now and then but are as expensive as little side covers for SJ/SK's. Providing you could even find an "F" model frame to hang it all on.
I understand "For the right amount of money". It is the "build another one" I find to be pie in the sky.

Wer you know this is an F hiding in 77 paint?
I have set of factory paint tank and RH side cover I have the left cover but it was resprayed poorly.

Very nice bike Gary! I really like the late model standards. Tough call, but I suppose I'd sell it at the right price and only to a good home...

Sweet ride and well keep it...............

Would love to find something local like that but they are few and far between............you did mention riding it throughout the ;) good luck!

Took Resto over and visited Survivor yesterday, there was a bit of troubleshooting, and I stole a part off Resto to fix it, but I think we got R now. Thanks for your patience Joe!
