Yeah I can't wait to see what you come up with. I'd like to build a girder someday. Are you going with a traditional look or something a little more modern?

Just got back from Kinkos. I just got the GF prints made, as I didn't have cash enough for 8 copies. Will ge the SY prints later.

I think I will be going with a vintage look because I'm doing a hard tail. I have several ideas,so I'll do some mock-ups and see what I like best.

Finished putting my engine back together. All polished up with a new Pamco electronic ignition, and TC Brothers Choppers carb stubbs.

Looks good!!! What did you paint the cylinders with? Is that a new stator?

You going to put Mikuni VMs on the those carb holders?

Yes, a new stator from mikesxs. Forgot about that. Didn't have one when I bought it. The cylinders are painted with barbaque black. Haven't yet deceided on carbs. Likely some mikunis

My father and I are finishing up a 14 year restoration of a '66 21 window deluxe microbus. Should be awesome when finished.

Engine looks great too, I need to get mine that clean.

The engine is a 1955cc Stroker, with 74mm crank, and 90.5mm pistons and jugs.

Made some progress in the last few weeks. The hardtail is welded on now. I also picked up some cool spoke rims. They're off of some Kawisaki criuser. A 16" rear and a 19" front. I'll post some pics of them tomarrow.

Looks good! Lots of people using the TC bros hardtails. I bet they're staying busy.

Did you put the engine back in or use an engine jig when you welded that up?

Yes, I used the engine, and a piece of exhaust pipe 8 1/2" clamped between the axle.

That's cool. I helped a friend with a TC bros hardtail install and even with using the engine, it still didn't line up that well when putting the engine back it later. We were working pretty fast and there were a few of us so I don't know how tight the motor mounts where and if they were all in. Next time I do it, I'm going to use an engine jig.

I was wondering what that was between the axle plates. Kind of hard to tell because it's so shiny!

WOW!! you got the engine looking really good now!! I used a Mothers powerball to bring mine back to life....what did you use??

I sanded all the parts to be polished with 320 grit wet or dry paper, then used a polishing wheel first with brown ruge, and finished with white ruge.

Travis, the girder is in the works. I've machined the top triple clamp to clean off the fork leg brackets and squared every thing up. It's at the welders now getting a 1" diameter alumium bar/with 5/8" hole bored through it welded to the top triple clamp. I will run a shaft through that hole and anchor it with some decreative bolts. That will be the pivot shaft for the top doglegs. I'm thinking I will do the bottom triple the same way. I may have to add some material to get the off set right, so I'm waiting until mock up time to figure out final demensions.
