So I'm having a charging problem, I believe my stator is the culprit. I have a 1975 xs650 with an after market reg/rec combo. My stator wires are as follows: 3 white wires going to 3 white from reg/rec, yellow capped off, black going to black, green to green. And my brown from reg/rec is going to power after the ignition switch. My rotor is reading 5.1ohm between the rings and infinity from rings to case. Outer brush is reading 11.8 V. My stator is reading 0.2ohms between the white wires with the yellow wire capped off. I'm not sure if this is too low. Also I dont know if I have the stator wired correctly. If anyone could help it would be very much appreciated! Thanks!

You can test the rectifier part of your rec/reg.
(Done with rec/reg unplugged).
(12) tests total.
(6) forward/reverse between each white and rectifier output. (Not the brown)
(6) forward/reverse between each white and rectifier ground.

Thanks for all the help man. The reg/rec is brand new, so I think thats good. I've done all the other checks on curleys guide and the only things that dont match up are the readings on my stator from the 3 wires. I get very low readings like 0.2ohm.

Well, that's your call.

We recommend that when measuring low resistances, that you short the meter's probes together to find the meter/lead resistance, then subtract this from the probed measurement to get the "true" measurement. Anyway, 0.2 ohm does sound a bit low. Inspect the stator windings, looking for cooked wires/insulation, any solder blobs, and possible scoring/scraping on the inner surfaces of the stator core fingers...

Here's a pic of a good stator.

Here's a pic of a stator that's been scraped by the rotor. Note the black powdery residue, couple of nicks in the copper wiring, darkened insulation. Fortunately, it still works. From member Blank Slate's thread:
