Rotor Winding Tooling

As good a place as any for this I suppose... @gggGary came all the way to KC to deliver some rotors.

1100 miles round trip in the van in one day 4AM to 10:30 PM, not a prob for a bud like Jim, sides I got to meet his lovely wife Sue.
S'matter Pete don't you know midwest fashion rules? Note the guy behind us also.

Ha! I own a few plaid flannel shirts. But sadly no chainsaws or snow blowers. Maybe I’m not a true midwesterner. I WAS born in Iowa however. Would that give me a pass? :geek:

RE the rotor. I have seen recently on Allen Milyard’s Fbook Page, on his latest build a velocette V twin he used, and excuse if I get the spelling wrong, Neodynemium magnets to replace the coil on the rotor. Of course this then makes the whole issue a PMA, quite why he has done this is down to him.
For those of you with a technical bent, his web site and Fbook Page are well worth a look.
Furthermore this site demonstrates the art of ingenuity is alive and well.

Your a true midwesterner if you have a snowblower motor powered chainsaw and and chainsaw powered snow blower.

Think I'm kidding?

Those specs look good to me Jim - have at it!

....and yes Gary - I've got lots of plaid too. My many daughters refer to it as my Uniform-of-the-Day for weekends in the DCW. ;)

I have a collection of Pendelton wool shirts in plaid, that are my main winter wear. Tend to make you look more like a farmer than a small town gentleman on holiday though.
