Like the title sez.... I think any year Special should work. Hole centers are 102mm or 4.01"
Minor cracking around the mounting holes is OK.
Condition of the chrome or gold is unimportant, as they're getting redone.

Appreciate the offer Beags, but I have a set of those outlined letters. I'm wanting the solid ones.

Here is an option Jim. These are stick on. No holes. I peeled these off a Maxim tank ? With Permission, at a scrap yard . Not quite perfect but very close and nice . Just a little larger than the 78/79 "Standard" tank badges I was after.
"plan B" maybe ? -R

This set will be here in my stash ;)
Nice work on that tank ! Tempting me to try body work on a tank one of these days.

Thanks Randy. Go for it. There's tons of how-to's on Youtube. Saves you a fair bit on a bike build if you do your own.

I have a right side one JIm, maybe you could heat it some and bend it to fit.

Free, if you want to to try

Let me know if...I really don't know when I got it. The last I worked at the shop was '83. I just remember it in my aux. toolbox in
my shed.

I have my SG's original tank in the shed. No borders. Let me take a peek at them in a bit. I'll post pics.
