Thanks everyone!

Love your exhaust. Did you make it yourself?

Yes, I designed and fabricated it but did not do the finish TIG welding. I can make it stick together but not make it pretty :)

What bike are your lft. side disc components sourced from ?

Left side disc is a stock XS650 front disc. The caliper is from an SR500...I forget the year but I don’t think it matters much.

Beautiful work there brother! For those of you who have Instagram , he has a page listed under andykawaphoto
He has some great shots on his page.

You’re too kind, Mailman. ☺️

Looks really good but that front could come down a bit. I used HHB 2" drop but I think 1" would have been about perfect.

Would love to drop the front a bit but I don’t want the front end any softer. I ride off-road with the bike and it’s a mushy mess in the front as is. I’ve got stiffer springs on the way, I hope to back off on the preload a bit to let the front sag a bit more with them.

Well, I guess spring rate wouldn’t change. But the amount of spring does...
Contact Traxxion Dynamics in Atlanta. Tell them what you’re after. They’ll provide the right springs without cutting. I think cutting stiffens them, but I’m not sure I have that right.

kawabunga,
Can you describe how well centered a stock XS650 front brake rotor, which is 7mm thick is on Your Lft side SR500 caliper/hanger bracket?

This pic of a SR500 disc which is 5mm thick was hung in a Lft XS750 caliper/ bracket.

Now you have a Lft SR500 caliper and a XS650 rotor (7mm thick) is it centered visually ?

My 78 doudle disc parts sourcing seems to end up with this:
Both stock XS650 calipers.
Two matchimg SR500 rotors (5mm).
Rt side caliper hanger off XJ650RJ.
Lft side caliper hanger off a SR500.
Still debating on which size front tire.
Conti Go - either
100/90-19 or 3.25-19
Seeking inflated tire sizes ? Which is wider ?

Great Info ! :)
How wide does your rear
120/90-18 measure ?
Im done with K81's due to lack of size choices anymore. Or performance.
3.60h19 's are no longdr avaliable
Pass on K70

The rear is a Go 120/90-18 measures just under 5 inches.
This is measuring the widest part of the tire. And these are steel rims.
