Adios my two wheel friends.

"It has been 40 years since we last got together. Different paths, different places ya know how it goes.
Friends lost and friends gone, how long we are here nobody knows.
So I'll make this trip just to see.
Two friends from my past and how they be.
Together again we will lift a brew to memories past.
Not as many as we once did, and I'm sure not as fast.
A weekend for old friends.
I get to see."

Well, at least something positive has come of RobinC leaving us.

Readers may recall that my friend John and I bought Robin’s bikes and we got the ‘78E running last weekend. It’s not roadworthy yet, but it’ll get there.

Today, Lakeview and I nipped up to London and worked with John (aka TotalFool) on the ‘73 TX650 - and made substantial progress on that one too.

I’ll let TotalFool tell that story.....

looking for a thread and come across Wer's thread..........Been dam near 2 years.....time gone fast but the memories last

Hello xs650 friends,

I regret to inform you that WeekendRider passed away in his home this morning 10/19/2018.

I want to extend my gratitude to the members of this forum for your many years of common interest and fellowship.
This hobby was a big part of his life in his later years. He respected and talked about many of the people he met here, and the organized rides he attended.

Like Mailman said, your ripples have a far reaching effect, and the individuals here have touched our lives in a positive way.
Thank you for all the kind words, it means a lot to his family.

Keep your knees in the breeze, God bless

WER with John Chaves.
