Shops and Garages

Holy sawdust, grepper, you've been busy. Now I know why there's a 2x4 shortage. Is that (hard to find) 1 1/2" plywood on that bench?

Beautiful lush green acreage you've got there, I like it...

The PO made his benches with two 3/4 plywood boards screwed together. I just recycled them. Yeah, I probably over engineered it...

The property is awesome! It's on a private road where each house has 10-15 acres and there is a private trail about a mile long going through all of them. We walk it almost every day. The PO were a retired couple and she spent all her free time landscaping. It's a lot to keep up with.
We hit the housing market at the right time, a few years ago we could have never dreamed of buying a house like this.
Some more pics of the yard.

First off, very nice shops and garages guys. I am very envious! Here are my two small time garage fixer-uppers. The first was a carb shop and the second is my current one, a little smaller. It is more of a bike and mini machine shop (need mill). Thanks for posting a link to this thread in the recent garage post otherwise I would have never found it.

My "shop" is what was a carport. With no car allowed in it now, and 3 bikes (KZ & XS 650's and a XJ600) it's the Bikeport! Open on 2 sides, but its better than nothing. With some shelves, an artificial sun(250 watt quartz light) and a radio and a lawnchair it's a good place to escape bad TV on warm evenings with Alice Cooper radio show on.

I thought i posted in this months ago... but i guess i just lurked...

This was my home/shop for the past 3 years... But i was tired of renting and decided to buy a house with a small garage... Well worth the switch, but struggling to find space now.. .hahha...

Couple days ago, hear the rumblings of big trux out on the main road.

My 16x32 building arrived!

Tilted up, you can see the upgraded floor.
2x6s on 12"centers, 4x6 runners, 3/4" Advantek flooring atop that.

I thought they were going to use the big truck to move it. But, they have this "mule" thing and dollies to get these things into tight places.

If you recall, in gggGary's chainsaw thread, I posted a pic of the landing site.

After a 500 foot rocky ride, they got the building fitted into that site.

That "mule" thing is amazing. Like a miniature 2-wheeled forklift.
They can maneuver into any tight spot, and it can even shuttle the end left/right.

My leveling job was off by 1/2 degree, so they blocked and skimmed to get it level.

And, it's set.
