I like Moto Guzzis ALOT, I’m the guy that owns a Fiat after all, so I have a weakness for quirky things. I really considered buying one , about the time I eventually bought a new Triumph. I went as far as test riding a new one.
I rode an 1100 Breva and was really impressed with both the bike as a whole and the character of the motor.

The bike looks good, Is this going to be your new cruiser? Or is this just a flip for you?

G'day,

Where I live in the tropics you can hear the Moto Guzzis rusting.

While test riding the Guzzi I stopped at the Badger Steam and Gas Annual Show.
Could have spent all day just at the swap meet.
360 degree, doesn't really do justice, probably 8,000 people there when I was. Thousands of tractors, hit and miss motors, steam engines etc.

Stoking the fires. This was operating a sawdust and scrap conveyor in the saw mill.

I try to get out there every year. Know quite a few of the guys and gals.

Foreground is part of the swap meet. A lot of the show and exhibits are in the woods.

Oh man, I love that stuff. I used to take my dad every year to this huge antique engine and tractor show. He was this old farmer and we would walk through those antique engines and he knew what they all were and what their applications were for. After he retired, when he was probably in his 70’s he restored an old Oliver 88 tractor. That thing looked and ran like new.

Brought "Jimi", my '81 Special to the Catskill Mountains again today.
Its become a weekly thing.

Today, it was sporting a bit of black tape :)

Route 23C just south of Rt 23 out of Prattsville heading east is what I refer to as "The Road of 1000 curves".
The pavement is smooth as silk.

Around every 10 curves or so there is a scene; some of them make me just stop the bike.
and get the camera out.

Just east of Jewitt today:

Made it to the Vintage Motorcycle show at Owl's Head. Couple hundred bikes, took some pictures of the ones that stood out for one reason or another.

Kawasaki GPz550. Not terribly unusual, but immaculate.

Appears to be an inline 2 cylinder 2 stroke. Guy had loaded up and was leaving before I could ask. EDIT: Badge on tank says "Sunbeam".

Nice little Suzuki trials bike.

Joe rode his V-Strom 125 miles over from Sheboygan and bought my special MC, we chatted, toured the shed of ill repute, then I hopped on Period Piece and took him via the back roads to Portage, we parted ways there and I continued back roads to home, about 50 miles, a glorious day to be out.

Had an appointment with an ortopedic surgeon today, in the next town, Narvik. Some of you may have read about the battle of Narvik in 1940. Narvik is also known as the port where the Swedish iron ore is shipped out from. The weather was ok, so I took the XS. About 230 km one way, 460 round trip. Norweigian road/route E8 and E6.Just northof Narvik on E6, there is a brand new suspension bridge "Hålogalandsbrua". It is more than 1500 m long, almost 1 mile! The top of the towers are 150 m or 500 ft above sea level, and at the southern end of the bridge, you go directly into a 300m tunnel. Unfortunately, all the steel work was done by a Chinese contractor, but this bridge is still a pretty impressive bit of engineering. The concrete towers and all foundation work was by Norwegian/Swedish contractors.
On my way home, I stopped for lunch at a hamburger place in Bjerkvik. They have dedicated motorcycle parking :)
