I'm in need of the choke lever that goes on the 81-83 left switch assembly. The cable would be nice also.

Well there goes my retirement funds! I was just out in the barn pulling a cable and lever off a 1983 control!

Did that lever grizld1 is sending come with the friction spring washer and attaching screw?
Not sure Ken. I'll keep you in mind if I need 'em.
Btw.... sorry I slowed your retirement... :( ;)

The washer is there but not the screw. The usual tricks (penetrating oil, tweaking, hammer impact driver) wouldn't budge the nasty rascal, had to resort to the drill press. The washer appeared to be a regular flat washer.

The washer I was referring to is not the one on the screw, but the one between the lever and the housing:

Might not be obvious in picture above but it is dished to act as a spring to hold the choke lever in position and also not rattle.

Oops! Thanks for straightening me out, found the part in the bottom of the housing. Jim, if you don't have the thing let me know. .

I've got a pretty good selection of spring washers, but I'll let you know if I need it.
