This picture was taken while I was changing over from a solo seat to the king and queen. I picked up a set of spokes to swap over when Im not being lazy, and Ill eventually pick up a set of rabbit ears. I used to have an interesting jocky shift with a hand clutch setup but with no front brake the wife made me scale back on the sketch since having a kid.
Looks like the stuff we were doing in the 70's. I even noticed the helmet in the background
I’ve always been a huge fan of king queen seats, and the frame geometry of the XS lends itself nicely to the look when hardtailed. Great looking chop, and good decision on the spokes, too. Your bike, in my opinion, is an ideal example of what a “perfect” chopper should look like.

That soft blue paint sure does work with bare metal.
Must be a bitch lugging around that block of wood so you can park your bike!

And you think your XS2 is hard to get on the center stand. He has to lift the bike and then slide the block under with his foot.
My 730# ST1100 was easier to put on its centerstand than this XS650....I'm like WTH?

Feeling guilty for neglecting some machines. Did some moving on New Years Eve.
This one had its first day in the sun for 20 years.
Has not been started since 1985 but I suspect it would not take much to get it started again.

Just an aside, putting longer shocks on my XS2 has made it MUCH easier to hoist up on the center stand.
Too long of shocks and you can't spin the rear tire while on the stand. Ask me how I know...
