No, I don’t see it. ?? There’s a black dot there, but nothing that comes off.Notice on the left side of your pic, that little black disc on the sealing surface just above the crank. Don't lose that, it blocks off an oil flow passage and must be there.
Yellow circle no. Red half went to machine shop and back.On the left here, in the yellow circle .....
And if that's not it, maybe it's stuck in the other case half (red circle on the right).
