So check this out, for less money than I have tied up in just my XS2, you could buy BOTH of these bikes!
And the guy is willing to cut a deal if you buy them both. Dang, they’re nice!

GL1000: For cool factor they gotta have spokes............
Then again LOL
wing.jpg

I've never owned a running wing . IMHO it was a cool engine design that was not suited for a motorcycle. 'specially 4 old guyz, feet behind, hands stretched forward of the motor makes for a poor riding position if you aren't riding "hard".
I did have a 1975 0 miles rolling chassis given to me. It finally went on to a wing collector buddy.

Scary fun. First bike I almost got killed on. Was a customer's tuned bike I'd never ridden before. Was not aware of the 2-stroke "pipe" phenomenon. Got introduced to it, bike stood straight up and almost over but I buried my foot into the rear brake pedal as a panic response. Promptly pulled over shut the bike off and pushed it back to the shop. Next day I took a customer's GS1100 out after a tire change (had to make sure the tires didn't fall off ya know...). Fanned through the gears, looked down and was shocked to see just shy of 120...

That was the day I decided I liked going fast. Never did get back on a 2-stroke street bike, until a racing friend bought an RS125, which he let me blow down the street...blah blah war stories again...

Somewhere around 1980-82. Was keeping a buddies GS1100 while he was overseas. Got in a race with a Jag one day and I buried the tach. 85mph speedo so I didn't know how fast a was going. Couple months later read a cycle mag test report... redline in top gear was 145mph. :yikes:
Yeah... war stories. ;)
