Now that I got the rotor fixed (courtesy of Jim), here's a pic of my new XS and my new Shoei that just came in. 5800 miles on the odometer. I think I'm gonna get another stock seat and shave the foam down so its flat and do a brown cross stitched leather. May keep the sissy bar but I dont have anywhere to attach my cargo net with it on.

Thanks, still needs some work to be road worthy as well as getting it properly registered and plated. That may be tricky with the BMV on limited operations though.
I'm also still deciding on which mirrors to run. I have a set of Halcyon round bar end mirrors that are really nice, but not 100% sure they fit with the current styling.

willis , those mirrors look great ! Are those 79 era ? I'm a fan of bar end mirrors too but have to admit that in a tight garage situation bar end mirrors seem to be constantly bumped.

I’m not sure what these are. I’m guessing some sort of re-pops from Mikes. Seems that’s where the PO spent an ass load of money before selling to me. The Halcyon bar ends rotate 360deg so I can fold them in on demand. But these no.10 tracker bars are already like 33” wide so sticking the mirrors out a couple more inches is really pushing it. These mirrors are growing on me though.

View attachment 167178 Here’s my new XS2; plan to ride it this summer, then cosmetic work this winter.

Congratulations, I hope you enjoy it. Thats a very nice looking bike, I saw when you were searching for one. Where did you finally find it? And maybe more importantly, is that a Norton shoved back into the corner there? :geek:

Found it in St. Louis; it’s a good runner and will be a great candidate for an eventual cosmetic redo. That IS a Norton in the background - good eyes! A 71 Roadster that I bought back in 1975 with only 500 miles on it. I sold it, and then bought it back several times , finally kept it the 3rd time I bought it - figuring I was just never gonna get rid of this darn thing! Kinda glad I kept it now...
