Whats your weather right now?

Doesn't this Michigan weather suck Beags? Snow expected through Saturday with highs in the 30's on Friday/Saturday.
Yes...yes it does! Hopefully your snow in off the lake fizzles out before it gets down here but sill lows in the 20's and not seein' 40 for a couple days.

Ranger Runs Back
Mrs. Lakeview's dog runs to the door after seeing a few snowflakes - as the edge of the promised polar vortex smears past. It's still 5 degrees, but I decided not to cut the grass today.

Thinkin' about our northern members, In 40 days, The days will be gettin' shorter...:(

Yes, thank you for that 2M. Meanwhile, the next 80 days will be that time of year when we don't need to put the lights on. This time of May it's still light gone 10 pm. Come late June, even when it's 'dark', the sky is still very light in the North.

But this week, un-seasonally cold. They're even forecasting snow in northern Scotland today, which might push down as far as here. Believe it or not, it don't usually snow at this time of year in Scotland. Though I have seen it a few times. And in June. And just once, it snowed in August - there was enough that roads were closed as it melted.

All a bit academic. The Scottish Government is still telling everybody to Stay At Home.

No snow today. But it did hail once. Briefly.

Colleagues in England commiserating - not - that I can't get out properly on a bike but they can from today.

we've had about a half dozen record cold days for may, including in the upper 20s. you know how those contrails turn into clouds that cover the entire sky, and clouds hold the heat in at night? there aren't contrails anymore. not claiming there's any connection, but it would be interesting

Heavy snowfall the last 3 days, but clear and sunny today :) Not very warm though, around 4 C or 39 F. A bit more snow/sleet/rain forecast for tomorrow. The weekend looks better, which fits is well with helping my son change the roof on his house, removing the old slate shingles and preparing for something more modern.

Major storms out here.
85°F, rapidly dropped to 62°F.
Storms do weird things here, like split and go around my place. Taken just a few minutes ago, the squall line split into 2 mounds, each producing golf-ball sized hail.

I'm at the blue dot, nestled in the cleavage.

Those 2 blobs rejoined, and now there's a tornado warning in there, moving south, just SE of me...

Oh yeah a sweltering 108 degrees here now. On a side note, the extreme heat has triggered some sort of massive hatching of tiny black beetles here. They are so tiny they can come right in under our doors. We woke up this morning to hundreds of them in our house. We spent the morning hunting them in every room of the house with dust busters, followed by a trip to Walmart to stock up on pesticide and sticky traps. Fun in the desert! o_O

That blob of red to the south in Twomany's radar was a a tornado that came through here. Been up on the neighbors roof putting down all the tarps I could scrounge out of the barn. Missed me last night by a mile or so. So another round today. Pretty much a direct hit today. It passed the house about 1000 yard away. I was too busy laughing at the chief numerologist on the CBS affiliate as he was confused about where it was for about 20 minutes as he was warning people 60 miles away to take cover immediately. I suspect he drank his lunch today He then spent another 30 minutes warning my area to take cover 30 minutes after the tornado roped out.
