Recently I picked up a XS2 for parts. I do not need the frame.
The Good: The frame looks to be straight and is not broken.
The Bad: No title.
The Ugly: The seat tabs have been cut off. Every thing else is there.
The Catch: I will not ship it. You want it come get it. If it may take a while before you can pick it up, not a problem.
I hate to throw things away. If no one wants it I may cut it up for an engine stand.

I'll even thrown in a XS2 speedo cable for extended forks, just in case your wanting to make a chopper!

Are you sure you want to get rid of it? I heard that the young guy who rides your XS2 around , broke that frame once already! You know bein’ a hooligan and terrorizing the neighbors! :D

I don't ride like that anymore. OK. If I could find a local scramble track I might do a hot lap or two.

....or perhaps Gregory, you might do a 700 mile ride from the Great State of Illinois...
....on a 47 year old bike....:smoke:
....that had just been started for the first time a few days before...:bow2:
....in the rain...:poo:
....finishing in the dark at 2:45 AM
....on the Tail of the Dragon.:yikes:..{just think about that - the Tail, in the dark, in the rain after 700 miles...}
....to attend a vintage Yamaha rally.:wtf:

Now THAT is a ride worth hearing about, from a guy worth meeting who rides a Yamaha 650 twin that definf@ckingly belongs on a calendar. In my view, it embodies what most of us got into motorcycling for: testing ourselves and our skills against the elements.

And FYI, the guy is GLJ - who did all of that in 2019 to get to the VYR at the Iron Horse on what is one of the prettiest and nicest running XS2's I've ever seen.

....in my opinion (and no, it ain't a humble opinion).

Been almost a week and no takers on the frame I had to do something. With a heavy heart, a unsteady hand and a hand bandsaw apart she is. Going to make a engine stand out of the pieces.

Stand pretty well done. All the pieces are from the frame. May shorten the front legs a bit. Seems plenty strong. Stood and bounced on it.
In a day or so should have a motor on it.
