They close the schools over that down here. Is that a well in the picture? I've never seen one like that, like the storybook version

It's just covering a shallow well pump
More decoration than needed but I'm to lazy to tear it down

I love the cold weather and the smell of wood smoke in the air...for about two weeks, just like the onset of Summer. Spring and fall, YEAH!
Too bad it's not a wishing well. It is beautiful here today! Cool breeze and 68 degrees. I should be riding! :( Nope. Work. If that was a wishing well, I'd wish...nah, like frog kissing, all the girls ever got was warty lips. (My bad for suggesting. :laugh2: They caught on quick but the ole lady still picks one up and inspects him from time to time. I mean what? She's got me! :cautious: Hummmmm

Just remember that is -7 C, that stands for Canadian right Fred? Won't say what our "F" degrees stand for!
Hi Ken,
Canada went kinda Metric in the 1970s but highway distances are still talked about in miles even if they're measured in KM.
Temperatures are in Degrees Celcius (same as degrees Centigrade because scientific stuff has to be named after someone)
US temperatures are named after some 19th Century guy named Farenheit. Also has 100º but his Butler had a fever that day so your normal blood temperature is 98.4.

No snow, just rain.

At least, it's washed the roads clean. Of salt, that is.

Yesterday, shopping trip to Galashiels on the little Honda. Took a backroad up over the moors through a tiny place called Mosshouses. Quite an adventure - surface water, mud, fallen leaves, gravel washed out onto the road, gale force winds. But as we approached Gala, the town was stuck under a deluge, heavy black clouds leaking, so turned away and headed back home. Nothing urgent we needed anyway.

Sunny and windy here in the Phoenix area, we have a low front moving in. First time we’ve dropped down under the 80’s since summer. High of 67 today. This year we smashed every heat related temperature on record. More concerning is our ongoing extreme drought. “ May you live in interesting times.” Indeed

Agreed. What, 2 weeks ago we were sweltering in 100° heat and tomorrow we will struggle to see 60. We did have .2" of rain and a high of 67F. Strange times.

No winter storage in Mississippi. The riding weather is generally no worse in winter than summer.
I really like the chicken. Nice touch.

Very mild for late October, and it's a fine day, and there's been lots of rain to wash the roads. So Polly and I went for a run.

Not shopping, just a run round some of the country roads. Polly's the Kawasaki W800SE. Gave the old girl a good wash when we got back:
