Not for the XS650, but any good tips out there for cleaning rusty spokes and preventing or slowing down rust for the future. My new winter project could use some love in this area. Don’t want to re-lace the wheels just to make them look prettier. Thx!

Have never used lanolin oil but that looks a great product! Does that mean if I treat my little Honda with lanolin all over I'll be able to use it on salty winter roads without fear of it turning into an orange rusty wreck overnight?

Australia, where even the sheep run scared...
a bit of nylon strap from a ratchet strap makes a good spoke cleaner, I like blue magic if I'm not going to add a clear.
Down and dirty I've brushed on silver paint. but it's pretty crude.
GLJ likes this stuff https://www.cerakote.com/shop/cerakote-coating/MC-160/high-gloss-ceramic-clear.
perhaps brushed on with an artists brush?
For the work involved vs results on XS's I use Mikes stainless spokes.

Yes, a bit of aluminium foil and Cola do the trick.

Thx, I’ll see if I can buy this paint around here. I was shocked at the price of spray paints now. I bought a can of VHT for an exhaust pipe and it was $26 tax in (Cdn).

Thought my VHT was expensive. Found the brand on line here but $73 a can. I’ll keep looking. Maybe use the Blue Magic instead.
