Rotor Winding Tooling

Another fantastic rebuilt rotor received from Jim. Thanks for the awsome service!

Just a little note keeping. Move along folks, nothing to see here.
475 turns give a more consistent 5.1-5.2 Ω reading. All coils from here on out will be 475 turns.

So did I buy a rotor short or long on winding lol? Seems to all work great for me, I think I've bought three off you so far!

The first 2 you got from me were 450 winding's. The last was from a batch of 460's. The batch of coils I'm winding right now will be 475 turns. And yeah... you've got 3 of 'em now. Glad you're happy with 'em. Hopefully your kids will be too when you hand the bikes down. :D

When you say constant, does that mean the ones with less winding may read slightly lower than the 5.1 ohms depending on conditions? like heat and cold.

I'm getting about a .2-.3Ω variation for no apparent reason between coils at the same temp with the 450 coils. At 475 turns I'm getting .1Ω's or less. Damned if I know why... It prolly has something to do with the inductive reactance of the coil, but I'm not an electrical engineer.. :umm:
...and yes, I'm just bein' overly picky. That variation doesn't really matter much in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks Jim, That rotor, i got sent to NZ, from Gary ohms out between 4.7 and 4.9. I didn't know if that was because of Kane's Meter, or after reading about how temperatures can affect copper readings, it was the cool temps in NZ that was causing the readings........That clears it up. Nice to know.
