Hummmm that looks like a Spitfire wind screen! That's 5 HP right there! :)
Remember these. How many HP was that worth. A friend bought a brand new GS750 with one installed. It reflected all the engine noise right at the rider.

You're right about that, I installed a smaller Vetter Quicksilver fairing on my XS750 I used to have and at first it scared me , just how noisy my motor sounded, but once I realized what was happening you get used to it. But it was oh so comfortable to ride behind and extremely well engineered for it’s day. I liked that it was scaled down in size.
This is not my bike but you can see the fairing on it.

When I got the Honda it had what looked to be an old WindJammer faring. Streamlined. I like it but not the Signals. They need up dated. Had a nice little box on the rack too. No bags. Over all it's not in bad shape. I might put it back on when I turn 80!

I remember seeing these around back when. Maybe it was something to get if you didn't have the geaters for a Vetter?

There were a bunch of fairing makers back then before the factories started creating their own body work . Wixom used to make a fairing similar to that. Most were handlebar mounted, that’s what made Vetters fairings so nice, they were frame mounted and didn’t affect the handling of your bike, plus the they were very aerodynamic, even the big ones.

This is pretty much as much fairing as I am interested in. Different strokes and all.

Yep, MM. I'm almost positive a faring like this is what my buddy had on his Suzie-Q 750 water-pumper.

Yep, MM. It just might a Wixom. Ebay start out at $46.00 and go up. :laugh2:

"Different strokes for different folks!" What commercial or add was that way back then?
( I know, "You pass the nicest people on a Honda" and Kawasaki, "Let the good times roll". Wonder I didn't get kilt!

At Least the Glue is on the Removable Side
My blue '77's persistent leak after fixing the starter spring was finally bad enough to fix it rather than continue to clean the floor.
It was a black gasket so don't know if original, but it'll have a green one on it by nightfall.
Using lots of safety third paint remover-still have a quarter can left.
Edit: Must be good stuff, even posted in wrong thread!

A brand new never mounted late special luggage rack w adjustable backrest that I was gifted got passed on to a member who put it to good use!

Bill J brought this bike back from teetering over the edge of a cliff, it's running and looking sweet now, he's been piling miles on it.

Bill rode in this morning. 2 months from this

He ordered a new front brake line this morning............ ;^)

Extra points for creativity for the best use of a Snap-On comfort grip pry bar (or is that a flat tip screwdriver ? I can't tell from this distance.) that I've seen in a very long time. Nice work !

So, I put this together over the past month. My first build. I bought it with most of the parts you see - about 80% complete bike. I’m not sure how many hours I’ve put into it so far. It’s road ready but I’m still waiting on some bits and pieces and want to send to a proper mechanic for timing, cam chain adjustments, and any jetting adjustment that might apply when the final exhaust is mounted (not the one seen here.) I’m not sure if it’s a bobber or a chopper. Kind of a chobber methinks.
