I got this helmet after waiting for 6 or more months for Built to make the 3X size. Finally my local store got one and I went to try it on. It was tight but they loosen up after a while. I'd been wearing a Built helmet (what model escapes me at the moment) for 10 years. Yes, I had 2 of them, wearing them for 5 yrs each.
This is my first hemet with electronics. I had Cycle Gear sync my phone Bluetooth with the helmet's after failing to do it at home. I managed to get the FM radio working and preset my station. I ride alone so there is no reason to try the intercom with passenger or other riders. I took a ride around Tucson this afternoon. I still wore earplugs with the radio on and it was like riding in a car. Super clear. Minimal wind noise. I'm no helmet expert, but I am pleased with this one.

Sounds like a nice helmet.

The worst thing about this helmet is the ventilation. It can fog up easily when not moving. Lifting the windscreen clears it quick as does getting moving again does. I'm wondering what summer will be like with this bad boy. Probably keeping the sheild cracked open?

That looks to be a really well designed helmet! I once installed a Bluetooth intercom system on a pair of helmets for me and my wife. And it was kinda clunky the way it hung off the bottom of the helmet, and the speakers were a little bulky and pressed uncomfortably against my ears.
The Bilt helmet shown in that video was nice , the way that it was all built in and low profile. And the speakers looked to be very slim. I liked it! :)

BILT is the Cycle Gear brand. BILTWELL is altogether different.
Thank you, I am enlightened. I went into a Cycle Gear once, left unimpressed. Don't guess it really matters who built Bilt, I don't think my beloved Bell is made in this country any more anyhow.

Was out again for a couple-3 hours. Earplugs in and FM radio on. Earplugs keep the wind noise to a minimum. That makes the radio clearer. Still enjoying the helmet. It's moulding to me some. Still has that new helmet smell.
