What have you done to your XS today?

I've found these nylon hose clamps to be much more easy to manipulate in tight spaces such as we are working with.
Strong, impervious to gasoline.

Bike cut out six times on the way home from work, as it did two weeks ago, engine dies but all lights work, left flasher a bit iffy today though . Starter button does nothing, not a sound, multiple kicks and it doesn't fire at all then I hit the starter button and the engine starts. Cut out on the motorway and while pulling off the road I hit the starter and it fires right up again?. Finally made it home in the pouring rain and started checking the wiring. Replaced iffy connector on red and white wire in the headlight from the kill switch and found the left rear flasher full of water and the bulb housing badly corroded. Cleaned it up with brass wire brush and emery paper rolled up to get inside the housing and contact cleaner. And it's working fine. Checked all the wires to the fuse panel, boyer coil and alternator and couldn't find anything faulty. Hopefully it will get me to work tomorrow.??

Initially an 18 x 20 Void
Moved "into town" end of September to a house which previous owner had built an additional 2 car garage.
Took forever to book a spray foam installer, but it's happening tomorrow!
More to come.

Spray Foamed!
Operator complained that new prices for chemicals were going to add $400.00 to a job this size in future-if he could get the stuff.
1/2 inch plywood all put up by me a lot quicker than I expected.

Slow and steady progress. Mostly waiting on parts. Removed the float bowls and they are full of rusty sediment that made its way past my filters. The clutch pushrod bushing and seal are done. As soon as Michael sends my clutch plates, I can start to button things up.

Didja know if you stick a hand cart on the side of an XS650 and strap the bike to it it's pretty easy to tip the cart back and trundle the bike out to the truck n trailer?
Other side was no better

Chain a bit stiff

starting removing parts and filling horse chow bags with stuff for garbage pick up. got the bolt cutters out and clipped the cables off on each end.
Motor's stuck evidence of water entry on one cylinder cuz on it's side (ish) no airboxes. Had oil in the crankcase looks OK. ODO shows just under 10K
A bit odd combo, haven't cleaned the label to reveal the year, but parts don't quite add up to all being the same year. No title, natch.
Tires hold air, with chain and front caliper off it rolled off the trailer.
It's a keeper!
First look forks are straight tubes not rusted action smooth. One lower has a good scrape on the side.
Parts coming off, anything salvageable going in the parts bins.
Kinda ashamed to admit I PAID to haul it away...
