buildin' me a tracker

You may have to re-think that 1" drop on the fork tubes. Upon full fork compression, the lowers may hit the lower tree. If I recall correctly, there's only about 3/4" of space when the forks compress fully, and that's with no dust cover. Pull the spring and slide the lower all the way up, you'll see what I mean. I usually do a 3/8" drop.

Good point, did not consider that (rookie builder doncha know). I'll def check that. Thanks.

This just keeps gettin' better and better!!

Looks sweet man....very envious, mine is in about 3 million pieces at the moment..LOL...
Wish I had gotten a motor that needed minimal work & a degrease, luck of the draw I guess.

Cheers.

Don't be envious, that's an erroneous zone. I wish I'd have been born rich instead of so damn good lookin', but you get whacha get!:D

Tomorrow a good buddy who's a pinstriper/sign artist is comin' by to paint the "YAMAHA" on the right side cover. In return I'm gonna put front swaybar bushings on his HHR SS. Wait'll you see pics of this car. Didn't know Chevy built an HHR SS ntil he bought his. 2 liter 4 cyl turbocharged, stock 'bout 265 HP. This one has a "tune up" and puts out over 320 HP!! Pics tomorrow.

OK just one.............

Damnit Man....Why do you have to live soooo far away? I see your in the "Frisco" area. I'm down south of you around Victorville area....just east of San Bernardino. Might just have to do a road trip up to see your master work. I'm working on an 81' XS that I have sooo many ideas I have a hard time sleeping at times just thinking about the mods I want to do.
I can see your meticulous with look and function.....GREAT JOB MISTER!!!!

I have a question on your post of the 2 young motor heads pushing your tracker....The youngster pushing.....Does he make the sounds of a good tracker....or are they a little on the "tired" side?LMAO....great pic BTW.....

first of all, thank you for the kind words. I've never been accused of doing "master work".:D but thanks. Been buildin' shit a LONG time. This is only my second bike, the first was back in the late '70's, a dirt bike, a '69 Maico 360. since then, hot rods, race cars, and a lot of wierd shit, like this:

It's a creeper racer. An old timey wooden mechanic's creeper with a 100cc Mac 10 kart engine. Crazy fast, used to run around pylons at rod runs. Ya just gotta think ahead and although pretty don't make it fast, it don't hurt.

LOL I'm gonna pass that along to him, he'll love that!!

Thanks. Workin' on the brakes now. Tryin' to convince the pistons to come out so's I can get the calipers powdercoated. Got them to go in some. now to get them out! They're not cooperating.
