Maaaate!! Thats as hot *almost* as a Gold Coast meter maid!! Very close to the bike in my minds eye I have planned ultimately for my 79.. If you dont mind Id love to have a chat and hear what kind of hoops you had to jump thru to get this rego,d and legal'ish an stuff... That is my biggest concern other than obvious mechanical stuff and assembly etc..
I tell ya what though I appreciate the skills and thought thats gone into this build... Much RESPECT mate.. --Aussie Pride!!--

Looks great i, I dont understand why more people dont keep the peg mounts.
Did this create any issues in fitting the hardtail when welding the bottom rails to the existing bottom frame rails?
What are the specs for your hardtail, ie drop strech... where did you get it from?
I'd also like to hear what you have to go through in regards to engineering just about to make that leap as well.
It may be a little different as i'm based in Victoria but a good base to understand what i may have to look out for.

Hi Andy, thanks for the comments. The hardtail is a prefabricated TC Bros hardtail - no real issues welding it up just lots of measuring etc...measure twice cut once.
If you're in Victoria can I suggest you contact Aussiehard - a forum member here who has investigated the legalities of frame mods in Victoria & is looking at doing a similar mod as yourself.
