No, with the small hole size I use (3/16"), I don't get any chatter. I start the drilling dry so I can see that I get the bit properly centered on the center punch mark. Then I add a drop of oil and part way through, if it starts squealing, I add more oil. These discs are pretty easy to drill. They're not super hard. I don't use anything special for a drill bit, just a high quality high speed steel one. And all I use is a $49 bench top HF drill press.
