Yeah I thought it was 1980 onwards that had the other ignition type here but I could be wrong.. This 80 motor definatly has the points ignition so yeah maybe it's 81 onwards. Not sure...
We are thinking of running the pamco gear on this motor (my fathers)... But I ordered the bushes/bearings...
Thanks guys. So yeah the bush go's closest to centre and rollers on out side edge..
I'm replacing them as I don't know any history of this motor (1980) or the bike (1973) it was purchased as a basket case.. The motor has had points installed in to it at some point and I figure with the money...
Hey all,
Just got a quick question about the bushes inside the cam...
I'm purchasing all the parts to do a rebuild on my fathers motor and I want to replace the bushes from inside the cam also..
I am buying them from mikes xs but the descriptions are a little misleading.
I will be...
So wish I could find someone like that here.. Both engineers ive had dealings with have both been the same.. Pay what I ask or go else where... Problem then is trying to find someone else that will even touch the cars and bikes I do..
Can't wait till I'm up to the point of ordering...
Yeah the info in that vid is great.. And I think the thicker paste will get you sorted in no time.... I can't wait for your next vid too.. They've been great..
I also think its a damn shame that johan bailed over this .. His builds have all been awesome, not all to my taste but awesome...
Hay carbon. I found this vid helpfull also. Don't know if it can give you any pointers also... Only thing I've noticed is most vids etc I've seen the lapping solution is not as runny as yours it's more like a paste.... Hope it helps in some way... Cheers bud...

This is an awesome idea !!!!! I hate the long bolts with nut and thread hanging out..
If you decide to make one that is threaded and uses short bolts at each end I'll be definatly buying one...
Yeah no worries hay... That's awesome your getting it sorted.
I so hate NSW. LoL. Everything is so strict here and so expensive. !!!
Yeah should have a chance tomorrow or Monday and I'll get some pix and pm them to you.. I found a bit of an issue with my frame but I still can't...
My engineer just wanted to know what steel was used to make it... Basically it just couldn't be chromoly...
Yeah it's not cheap but I still think its worth it...
Ok the plan of attach should be to speak to an engineer from the start so its all built to there standard... Once you've...
