    vintage supermoto style

Hi, its another seat base. I am putting a dense "track day" style foam pad on it. wasnt sure how to bevel the edges or cut it. Its almost like the green oasis foam for flower arranging, but not crumbly.

I found out how to add them  (again) I will try to take some more as I progress. Just starting to shape the foam for the seat. it is quite a dense grey foam, which sticks to the fiberglass seat pan. Anyone shaped it successfully? Would like to try and get a nice neat beveled edge, thought...

    vintage supermoto style

Just thought I would share my latest build. Its a '79 with 17" wheels, ally swingarm, brembo rear brake, floating front disc, sticky rubber, DIY PMA using a CBR600 f stator with a RD 400 backing plate and rotor, kick only, no battery. Nice healthy motor with Omar half mile pipes and individual...

    rectifier for PMA

putting together a DIY PMA set up and just wondered if anyone has any ideas on if there is a difference between a 3 phase rec/reg for a 4 cylinder bike and a twin cylinder bike. Or are they all essentially the same?

    Compatable rotor for DIY PMA

I fiddled around with the bracket removed some material from the backing plate and offered up the rotor again. It seems to fit much better now, so i think there may have been something behind stopping it fitting properly. Woodruff key all fine too. Next stage, try to start it with the new PMA...

    Compatable rotor for DIY PMA

Hi Yes the key is okay, filed a 5mm one down to 4mm for the XS650 Crankshaft, it fits well. I think the problem may be the taper on the 250/400 flywheel. Not sure if it is compatable. Just wondered if anyone had used one as I thought I read somewhere it was ok. It seems as if it is only the...

    Compatable rotor for DIY PMA

Thanks for the link, it seems as if most DIY conversions in the U.S are using RZ350 banshee flywheels. Loads of info on stators to use, I have that sorted, but no info on other compatible flywheels. I can probably get a 350YPVS flywheel, but not 100% sure that it is the same as the RZ/banshee...

    Compatable rotor for DIY PMA

Hi I managed to put together a mix n' match PMA system using a RD250 stator and backing plate, with a really nice adapter plate made by COFA engineering. What I am wondering is, should the RD400 flywheel that I have fit. When I fitted it up just to check it seemed okay, but now I am putting...

Which woodruff key for Rd250/400 flywheel PMA

Hi Anyone know which is the best size woodruff key for a DIY PMA set up. I have the RD250/400 aircooled flywheel, but no idea what size woodruff key will work. Not even sure if the key is larger on the XS or the RD. I was hoping not to buy a load and try them out. I am sure someone has the...
