    Mounting two Green Monster coils?

There are no fork tubes. It's made of thick walled pipe. In the pick, of poor quality, u can see the construction. It's a fairly common front end for a sidecar setup. It prevends diving when the front brakes are being used, instead it rises. I believe it's called an Earles Fork

    Mounting two Green Monster coils?

I mounted mine under the tank using the existing brackets. It took some machining and a lot of test-fitting but is worked out fine. I used aluminium for the baseplate and for the two 'little towers' to be sure it would easily cool the coils. I did this on the left side only(dual coil) ,but I...

it is the fixation of the wire that holds the first steel clutch plate. If I am correct it is used on the 6-disc clutch version.

    weird engine noise (recorded)

Update... Last weekend I pulled the engine out and removed the top end. I found a lot of dirt, oil, fuel, carbon inside. [/IMG] valves [/IMG] pistons And I did the infamous leak-test [/IMG] Clearly the leftside intake valve is leaking. No wonder it kept popping back. I am now...

    weird engine noise (recorded)

Yesterday I redid the compressiontest. This time using the electric starter. Both sides now are 120 psi. I took off the neccesary things from the engine so I can take it out later this week and inspect the cilinder head. I know that the PO twice had a hole in one of the pistons due to...

    weird engine noise (recorded)

Today I checked the valve clearance again. I'v sparayed the intake valves with brakecleaner kicked the engine over for some time and used a cloth to wipe of the debris. After this I checked the proper valve clearence again. Intake on the left side was off (gap too small). Then I rebuild it and...

    weird engine noise (recorded)

Thanks TwoMany, it took me some time to read and understand it. My English is ok, but not my native language. I'll be taking of the exhausts and covers and check the valves on the intake and outlet side. We'll see what I'll find.

Compression: Dry: Left 80/Right 80 Wet: Left 120/ Right 130 combustionchamber cleaner (Forte Moto Power II) is in the fuel, unfortunately I can't take the bike for a ride. I think the stuff works beter on the road then stationary on the pavement. Thanks for thinking out loud:thumbsup:

    weird engine noise (recorded)

Hi Wherearewe, I already tried that option. It makes no difference. Because the carbs have exactly the same set-up and the Pamco is ok I am now suspecting the valves. Altough I'm not a complete noob it's some sort of uneducated guess, I guess,... Before taking the engine out and opening the...

    weird engine noise (recorded)

checked, rechecked and triplechecked it (with Gunson timing light). The Pamco works fine, there is a steady consistent spark. I have brand new Iridium plug, new caps and wires. this really puzzles me...

    weird engine noise (recorded)

Few days later; I completely rebuild the carbs. They had a lot of flaws. When examining every part closely I saw that there were two different needles in the carb. I replaced them for new 5HX11 needles with new needle jets. I put in 2 new floatvalves and seats. I rejetted the carbs with new...
