This thread has been an absolute blast to read, the amount of talent and versatility here is amazing! So much fun to read. Im still a kid compared to alot of people here. Did building maintenance for quite some time, thought I'd make a career out of it, get my boilers license and do that for...

Spend the extra time, not the extra money.. TCI troubleshooting

The outer sleeve was minorly torn but nothing major. A quick glimpse with the eye it would have passed visual inspection. I believe what cause it was the sharp turn the wires take coming off the final clamp on the stator. I think the clamp dug into the sleeve and wires. Wish I could get a pic...

Spend the extra time, not the extra money.. TCI troubleshooting

I am in the process of tuning my bike for my new pods and aftermarket exhaust. I told the honey Im heading out to the garage to do some work. Turned the fuel on, key switch on, choke on and started kicking. To my surprise, it didnt start! What the hell, I've been starting up the bike quite often...

    ugly motorcycles

Also, I agree the viragos are ugly, but the early model ones look good as cafe racers! Many people who are into cafe racers like the early model ones because they featured a mono shock. That helps to make one hell of a cool cafe racer in my opinion. Quick example below.

It's the same place I bought my 09 Suzuki boulevard from so that's kinda why I thought I'd return to them for some more business. They have been great to me overall. Thanks again everyone.

Tubed tire on a tubeless rim.. without a tube??

I will now be going down to the shop that did the tire, presenting the direct email from the tire manufacture, Shinko, and nicely ask if they will install a tube for me and re-balance the tire free of charge.

Tubed tire on a tubeless rim.. without a tube??

In case anyone cares about what is going on with the tire. I called the dealer that mounted and balanced my tire and asked them if a tube is needed or not. They said no and that there really isn't a such thing as a tube or tubeless tire anymore, that its determined by the type of rim whether or...

Tubed tire on a tubeless rim.. without a tube??

Good story weekendrider I enjoyed reading it. The way I look at it is, why the hell would I take the risk of an accident when I can just put a tube in it and know Ill be safe.

    So it begins. xs650 build

http://www.xs650.com/threads/78-simple-is-clean-bratstyle-build.19468/ Post #17 in this thread shows a swing-arm frame with some sort of "brat-style" seat bracket similar to yours installed while using the same tank that I have previously created a link too. Hope this helps for some reference.

    So it begins. xs650 build

Herman, to answer your question about if that king sportster tank will fit your xs650 or not, the answer is yes. For the front mount you will just drill a horizontal hole through your neck gussets and run a bolt through the tank and gussets to mount it. For the rear mount you can leave un-used...
