On another note, the diodes fixed the 4-way flasher problem, and changing the wiring on the different replacement tach I got on eBay all worked :)

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I sprayed some wd40 and cable lube, then hooked up the end of the cable to a drill. The gauge whined for a second, then it stopped and started working. Shrug... The noise was definitely in the speedo, not in the cable. Prying apart the spare I have doesn't...

That picture refers to the "pilot/air jet" but I thought the pilot jet was the smaller jet that goes in the float bowl under the rubber plug?

The dreaded PO ground off all the mounts for the left side exhaust... :shrug: When you say 130 air jets, what are you referring to? I purchased the Keyster kit because I couldn't find new pilot jets for the BS34s

I put in 49 pilot and 138 main. The stock needle is in, but I replaced the needle jet. I have a replacement needle from the kit. Sound like I should order these gaskets and holders from Mikes or are there better ones out there...

Should I put in the matching needle from the kit? The Y503-RR Also, I forgot to mention in the first post, but I did take it for a quick ride around the block and it was back firing like crazy, no power, died after about a minute.
