I got my first XS650 back in 1980 and rode it daily for about 8 years. After I got my R90 BMW i didn't ride the 650 much but hated to see it sit so I repurposed it to run in the AMACCS Twins Class. I road raced my 650/750 in the 80's and 90's primarily at Blackhawk Farms in Illinois and ran Road America a couple of times. Over the years since I have accumulated a lot of parts (old and new) and always planned on building a couple of 650's when I retired. Well, I just retired and am currently working on building a DualSport/Scrambler. All told I've got 3 frames and plenty of other components to assemble them. I think I will keep the '78 in stock trim and maybe do a chopper with the third frame as it's kinda rough anyway. I'll see what the future holds.
