Turns out there is nil gasket leak. Re torqued head as per 5twins recommendation in another thread and the gasket leak resolved. Just got home after a 70 mile run and engine is dry as a whistle.

This thread has been super informative. Regarding the cam shaft shoe - can you confirm the part number for the early model 73mm shoe? I'm coming up with 168-25351-00. Just want to be sure before I make my purchase...
XS1B for sale. Current location BC Canada. Willing to import to Australia if desired. Runs great and a current driver. Will require a top end at some stage due to a leaky gasket.
