Harbor Freight sells an a simple lift for 99$. its got a hydraulic foot pump, and is on casters so you can easily move the bike around. It also has loops to use some tie down straps. Probably the best 99$ I have spent since working on my bike. Get a small seat with wheels while your on the site.

I have 1979 xs650. Kickstart only, headlight, two rear tail lightsbfrom and old chevybtruck tat also double as turn signals. No speed or tach. I am rewiring andvwould like to conserve space. How small of a battery can I use? Bike has seperatevregulator and rectifiers. Any thoughts...

Starting the re-wire on my 1979 xs650. Under the battery tray were a few components which I think I have identified but need some verification. The attached photo shows a black box with rounded edges and 4 wires (black, yellow, green, red). I believe that is the regulator however the 4 wires...

I think based on my height i need to rethink the hard-tail, drop-seat. I dont really care what I look like (not really). Its more a comfort thing. Ill see how it goes with the new forward controls from TC Bros.

Riding a recently purchased xs650, 1979 hardtail, dropseat. Love the bike but realize it is just too small a frame for me. I am 6'3", 205lbs. I am putting on new forward foot controls from TC Bros but still think I'll be too big. Do i need to step up to a xs750, xs1100 or what?

Thanks for that quick response. Sounds like you know alot about the clutch setup. How do I create good sPringy tension on the clutch cable. No matter how I run the cable and tension it at thE handle I can't seem to create any tension

While changing the clutch cable a small ball bearing fell out when I removed the cover on the engine side of the clutch cable. Where did that come from? Also no matter what I do I cannot create tension on the clutch handle? I know this is simple stuff but I'm new. Any help would be...
